Coaching Plans

SLK Tri Coaching supports and develops individuals so that they can perform, achieve and excel, reaching their goals, whatever they may be, and maybe that little bit more.

 

The SMART Tri Coaching philosophy is: 

  • ​Everyone is different - therefore all our coaching plans are tailored specifically to each person.

  • There is a wrong way to coach but no single right way – there are lots of ways of achieving the same end goal.

  • Adaptation and evolution are key - there is always more both an athlete and coach can learn.

  • Never embrace a plateau in training - there is always something to be improved!

  • Balance is key - make the easy sessions easy and the hard sessions hard! Train SMART!

  • Be the best you can be – all you can do is turn up on the day and be your best.

 

By using SMART goals and training smarter, we believe you can reach your goals however big or small they may be. 

 

Ongoing Individual Training Programmes

After an initial one-to-one consultation (in person where possible) you will receive a rolling week on week training programme on Trainxhale tailored to your current level, goals, strengths and weaknesses. Your training plan will include aims and objectives of all components of the plan and clear aims for each workout.  Your programme is written using trainxhale so that you and your coach are able to keep up to date with your latest training. Feedback and regular communication is maintained between athlete and coach via regular phone calls, e-mail, texts and through one-to-one consultations and one-to-one training sessions (additional charges may apply).

 

SLK Coaching believes in writing a complete programme for all aspects of your training including strength and conditioning and nutritional advice. The price is £90 per month and includes:

 

  • Coaching tailored for your chosen event – e.g. Sprint/Olympic distance to Half and Full distance triathlon races.

  • Online training programmes.

  • Individiual swim, bike and run sessions with a prescribed duration and intensity.

  • Training plans built around your work and personal commitments.

  • A one to one personal consultation at the commencement of your plan.

  • Nutritional analysis and advice for both training and racing.

  • Strength and core conditioning sessions.

  • Regular communciation with your coach.

  • Pre and post race analysis.

  • Constructive feedback from training.

 

Event Specific Plans

In addition to bespoke triathlon training plans, SLK Coaching offers event specific or fixed term coaching. Whether the event is a cycle sportive, a time trial, your first marathon or sprint triathlon, event specific packages are designed to help you achieve your best for the event and help you reach your goal.  Prices vary depending on the duration of training required. We recommend a training plan of at least 16 weeks (depending on previous race / training experience). Please contact us for a quote.
